Emergency Housing & Self-Sufficiency

Housing Services are WGAP's most comprehensive program. Housing, case management, budgeting, and life skills are some of the services offered to those in need of Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing, and Rental Assistance. In all the housing programs offered by WGAP, stabilization is the key to obtaining long term success and self-sufficiency.

Guided Path Shelter and Transitional Housing
Shelter: For homeless individuals and families, the Guided Path Shelter offers a 3-30 day stay in a six room facility. Each household has a private room, but shares the kitchen, living area, and rest rooms with the other residents. Case management services are available while at the Shelter.
Transitional Housing: A two year residential program offers families a step-by-step "Guided Path" to independence and self-sufficiency. While paying 30% of their income for rent, enrollees work on an individualized plan, which leads to education, employment, and self-determination.
Permanent Housing Support: A new program for the Guided Path, offering permanent housing and case management services for individuals or small families.
Rental Assistance: Limited funds are available to help households that are in danger of being evicted for not paying their rent.

Goldendale Shelter and Transitions Program
Shelter:
For homeless individuals or families who have an attachment to Goldendale, a 1-3 day motel voucher can be provided as temporary crisis intervention.
Transitional Housing: Similar to the Guided Path Program, Goldendale's scattered site transitional housing program offers intense case management for families with minor children.
Rental Assistance: Limited funds are available to help households that are in danger of being evicted for not paying their rent.

Skamania County Homeless Housing Program
Shelter: The Skamania County Shelter offers a 3 to 30 day stay in a five bedroom facility. Case management services are available while at the Shelter.
Transitional Housing: Similar to the programs at Guided Path and Goldendale, the Skamania County program provides 2 years of residential stability, individualized plans and goals, and case management.
Rental Assistance: Limited funds are available to help households that are in danger of being evicted for not paying their rent.
