Customer’s Feedback:

Having a short draw length, this is my first compound bow. It was tuned and adjusted at the archery range. After taking a few shots with the bow, the owner said it was one of the most smoothie bows he’d ever shot. This bow is highly recommended for adolescents or women with short draw lengths.

Bear Archery ASG1140R Super Grizzly Black Maple-Red Stripe RH 40

The Super Grizzly is a great all around bow for the hunter who wants to be able to take down any game from small game up to large game, and still have enough power to handle the smaller critters like rabbits and squirrels. This bow has been designed with the hunter in mind. It’s not just another “bigger” version of an already popular model.

The new Asg1140R features a longer limb length than its predecessor, which makes it more stable when shooting at full draw. The new design also allows you to shoot faster because there are less limbs to move through the air.

The Asg1140R comes equipped with a CNC machined aluminum riser that provides excellent strength and durability. The riser is attached to the limb using high quality stainless steel hardware.

This bow is built on our standard Asg1140R platform, but we’ve added a few extra upgrades to make this one of the best bows available today. We’ve upgraded the cams to our newest cam system, the Asg1140R Cam System. This cam system gives you a smoother pull and better shot consistency. We’ve also replaced the factory grip with a custom grip made specifically for this bow. The grip is made out of durable rubber and features a soft touch finish.

We’ve also upgraded the string to our latest generation of X-Static Pro strings. These strings provide exceptional performance and feel. They’re easy to install and maintain, and they last much longer than traditional nylon strings.

Customer’s Feedback:

A solidly constructed crossbow. Nice camo pattern and looks attractive. Shoots hard, not too hard to cock. It’s a little louder than any of the other crossbows I’ve heard, but not too much. Since the mid 80s, I have shot and hunted with vertical compounds and traditional recurves. Due to some really invasive surgeries and medical problems, I have been using a crossbow. I am also getting older. This crossbow will allow me to get out in the woods and hopefully bring home a few deer. I tried pulling back my 70# Bowtech Guardian last month and it was not working.

It’s best to unmount the scope that came with the bow and throw it in the trash right away. It has poor eye relief and mine was crooked. I could have straightened it out on a bench, but I didn’t want to go through all of that. After trying to zero at twenty with the included scope, I ran out of room. I just wanted to go out hunting, so I upgraded to a better scope. I was able to zero it in about a half hour.

The deer woods will tell us how it does.

FAQs on Best Compound Bow for Budget

What is the best compound bow?

The best compound bow for you will depend on your needs, preferences and budget. The best compound bow for you may be a recurve or longbow. It’s important to know what type of hunting you plan to do before purchasing a compound bow. If you are planning to hunt deer with a compound bow, then it would be wise to purchase one that has an adjustable draw weight. A good quality compound bow should have a comfortable handle, a smooth action, and a quiet release. You can also consider buying a bow sight if you want to improve your accuracy.

How much does a compound bow cost?

The price range for a compound bow varies from $100-$500 depending on the brand, model and features. For example, there are some models that come with a free quiver and others that don’t. Some bows come with a warranty while others don’t. There are many factors to consider when choosing a compound bow including the size, length, draw weight, materials used, etc.

How do I choose a compound bow?

When choosing a compound bow, you need to consider several things such as the draw weight, the length, the arrow rest height, the limb spacing, the stringing options, the number of limbs, the riser height, the grip style, the color, the warranty, the warranty period, etc.

How to use a compound bow?

To shoot a compound bow, you must first learn how to hold the bow correctly. Hold the bow in front of you at arm’s length with both hands resting on the grip. Your elbows should be slightly bent and your forearms parallel to each other. Keep your shoulders relaxed and your chin up. When drawing the bow, keep your elbow close to your body and pull back until your arms are straight. Then let go of the string and aim where you want to hit the target. Release the string slowly so that the arrow flies smoothly.

How to maintain a compound bow?

It is very important to clean and oil your compound bow regularly. Clean your bow by wiping off any dirt and debris using a soft cloth. Make sure to wipe down all parts of the bow including the nock point, the handgrip, the riser, the limbs, the cables, the cam, the axle, etc. Use a light oil like WD-40 to lubricate the moving parts of the bow. This helps prevent rust and wear.

Is a compound bow better than a recurve bow?

A compound bow is more powerful than a recurve because it allows you to adjust the draw weight. However, a recurve bow is easier to master since you only have to bend the limbs. Recurves are usually lighter and cheaper than compound bows. They are also less expensive to repair.

Are compound bows safe?

Compound bows are safer than traditional recurve bows. Compound bows are designed to withstand higher impact forces than recurve bows. In addition, they are equipped with safety mechanisms that help reduce the risk of injury.

What are the advantages of a compound bow?

There are many benefits associated with owning a compound bow. These include:

  • More power – Compound bows produce more force than recurve bows
  • Easier to control – Compound bows are easier to control than recurve bows due to their design
  • Less expensive to repair – Compound bows are less likely to break down than recurve bows
